The Hope of the World!
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3: 17-18
Dear Heavenly Father, we all seek freedom. It’s our identity as Americans, primarily because our Christian forefathers thankfully founded America on Biblical principles. Sadly, freedom remains only a hopeful dream for many in the world. But as believers, we know that there is an even greater freedom, beyond the physical and political, that is available at this very moment to everyone, captive or free, in the world. The Apostle Paul wrote of this Freedom in his second letter to the Corinthians: “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom”. So today Lord we pray Freedom over all who call on your Holy Name. We pray your Spirit brings a transforming Freedom to all, where chains fall away and hope abounds in you! Come Lord Jesus, you are truly the only hope in this dark world! Amen!
