A Light Has Dawned
“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.” Isaiah 9:2
Dear Heavenly Father, Isaiah spoke this prophesy about Jesus over 2,700 years ago. This prophesy gave hope to the captives walking in darkness then, and it gives hope to us all now in the very person of Jesus Christ. In fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophesy, Jesus said "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12) In these last few days before Christmas, we pray for those lost in the land of deep darkness. We pray for them to open their eyes to a new dawn saturated with the Light of the World…Jesus! Amen
